Once SftTabs/NET 6.0 is installed on your development system, every project that is opened will use SftTabs/NET 6.0.

To prevent this automatic conversion, which is performed by Visual Studio, follow these simple steps.

Open your project. If you receive any error messages (usually if your forms are automatically opened in design mode), simply close all open files without saving them.

Access the project's properties using the menu command Project > Properties. Click on the References tab.

The References tab shows all assemblies your application uses. Visual Studio automatically changed your project to use SftTabs/NET 6.0.

Remove all references to SftTabs/NET 6.0 (if present), by highlighting them and clicking the "Remove" button:

Softelvdm.SftTabsNET
Softelvdm.SftTabsNET.ControlImpl.dll
Softelvdm.Controls.dll

Then, click on the "Add..." button and select the "Browse" tab to locate the SftTabs/NET 5.5 directory containing the dlls. The default path is C:\Program Files\Softelvdm\SftTabs NET 5.5\Bin.

Select Softelvdm.SftTabsNET.dll and click OK.

Your project can now be saved. All forms now use SftTabs/NET 5.5.
